These menus can be modified as needed for food allergies or intolerances.

March 5th, 2014 at 9:30 – 11 am in Concord, MA – Register (Category: Culinary Arts, Food & Entertaining)
Navigating the supermarket can cause confusion with more than 45,000 products to choose from today vs 5000 in 1996. Expert marketing and time limitations can make shopping an overwhelming experience. Join us as we explore each grocery aisle (from our chairs) and discover the top rated, healthiest products in each food category of fresh, frozen, boxed and canned goods. We will discuss the use of some common food additives and choose the best tasting products for you and your family; more specifically, those products that are the least processed, contain the most whole grains, and those that are lowest in sodium and sugar. We will also review a basic food label and explore the best time and place to purchase local or organic foods. A written list detailing the top products in each category, along with definitions of food additives & preservatives will be provided. (This workshop was formerly named “Virtual Supermarket.”)

What’s for Lunch?

February 12th, 2014 at 3 – 4:30 pm in Lincoln, MA – Register
Are you tired of the same lunches and snacks? Please bring your child (or children) and join us as we will put together different sample sized options for packing lunches and on the go snacks and generate lunch box and snack lists for children. All food will be provided and all participants will have the opportunity to taste their final product. Please specify any food allergies or intolerances when registering for this class. Children may attend free of charge.
